IIT Bhilai uses a Fractal Academic System that includes continuous evaluation of its students, and more choices on the subject they wish to pursue outside their core area, which makes it an edge over the other 6 baby IITs established in 2016. IIT Bhilai is also part of the National Knowledge Network
