Yes, to get admission in MBA programme you should clear LPU NEST followed by an interview. Here are some of the eligibility criteria for MBA programme:
A candidate must have passed with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview

Hi there, interview is mandatory for only some of the specialised programs of B Tech and MBA. For other programs you need to fulfill the eligibility conditions of minimum marks in the previous qualifications and LPU NEST or only minimum marks. So don't be scared.
