  • NIT Trichy receives a higher rank compared to many NITs and IITs due to factors such as academic programs, rankings, and funding. Both NITs and IITs offer a range of programs in engineering and sciences. In 2023, NIT Trichy was ranked 151-300 among higher education institutions in India. Additionally, NITs, along with IITs, receive higher grants compared to other engineering colleges in India, with average NIT funding increasing significantly. These factors contribute to NIT Trichy's higher ranking and reputation among technical institutions in India.
