Why is the PGDM fees more than MMS? What difference is there in these courses offered ? Does PGDM ensure a student is industry ready?

PGDM is a postgraduate diploma program which is given by stand alone / Autonomous Institutes which come under the jurisdiction of AICTE like XLRI, SP Jain etc. The MMS course is affiliated to University of Mumbai. There is no difference in terms of placement in PGDM and MMS. In fact, PGDM and MMS students sit together for final placements and internships. Both courses vary slightly in terms of academic portion however ensures a student is industry ready. The fee structure for the year 2015-17 is as follows: PGDM - Rs 2, 80,000 per year PGDM (Pharma and Bio tech)-Rs 2, 25,000 per year Fees are payable annually. MMS - The fee structure is decided by the Shikshan Shulk Samiti constituted by the Government of Maharashtra and varies from year to year. Fees for the year 2014-15 is Rs.1,72,500/- per year (interim)
