Why M.Tech is said to be pursued by students interested in research and teaching?

It is because, if you have done your B.Tech from a top college, the kind of placement you will get after B.Tech and M.Tech will almost be the same. Only if you are interested in pursuing Ph.D or want to opt for teaching then M.Tech is beneficial.
