    Manipur University offers MBA in almost all branches under a single institute. Alongside the vast option of courses to choose from, the institute records an impressive placement rate for MBA that is 70-80 percent. The curriculum is totally industry relevant and merit based internships are also provided. All this comes under a budget that most institutes lack, hence MBA is persued in Manipur University by a majority of students.

Manipur University offers the MBA seats via Manipur Institute of Management Studies. The seats are offered in a limited number of 63 seats. Further, few of the seats are subject to reservation of seats for OBC/SC/ST MIMS Admission Brochure, candidates within that category as per Government of India rules.

Allotment of seats shall be done based on CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMA score and availability of preferred choices of MBA courses entered by the candidates in the online application process. For MBA admission at  Manipur University, candidates are required to submite a valid entrance exam scores. Candidates must have a valid score in any one of the exams : CUET-PG, MAT, XAT, CMAT, for admssion. Also candidates must have a bachelor' degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian or foreign university/institution (foreign degree must have UGC approval) with a minimum of 50% aggregate (or equivalent grade). Therefpre, candidates cannot get admission in the MBA course at Manipur University without an entrance exam.
