Thapar is worth considering for its strong engineering reputation, good placements, experienced faculty and industry exposure. It's also ranked 29th in NIRF Engineering 2025 and has an A+ NAAC grade.

Overall, if you're getting a good branch, Thapar is a solid choice for BTech.

I'd choose Thapar for its academics, campus exposure and placement opportunities. My cousin studied there and had a really good experience overall. The institute also has a strong industry connect and placement support, so if you're ready to put in the effort, it's definitely worth considering.
