The art of filmmaking is called  cinematography. It conveys emotions, mood, and storytelling components using features like camera angles, framing, lighting, composition, movement, and colour. It enables filmmakers to express concepts and thoughts to viewers in a visual and emotional way.

By bringing the narrative to life, cinematography improves the storytelling process. It facilitates atmosphere development, tension building, character development, and emotional evocation. Audiences are better able to relate to characters and the tale by using visual storytelling.
