Hi, Human Growth Hormone declines as we age, which most physicians commonly state this as a contributing factor to aging. High Human Growth Hormone also called somatropin, is produced in the anterior of the pituitary gland inside the brain, it is one of the most abundant hormones secreted. It influences the growth of cells, bones, muscles and organs through out the body. Hormone production peaks at adolescence when accelerated growth occurs. If growing children have too little HGH they remain as dwarfs, while if they have too much HGH they become giants. Daily secretion declines with age. For example a 20 year old may secrete 4 to 5 times more of the growth hormone than a 60 year old. Growth hormone not only prevents biological aging, it promotes weight loss, builds muscle mass, improves memory. I hope this answers your query.
