    The Union Public Service Commission conduct the CAPF (AC) exam every year to recruit the candidates for the Gazetted post of Assistant Commandant in the CAPF's. The UPSC CAPF exam is conducted for the following key reasons:

    • To recruit Assistant Commandants (Group A officers) for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India.
    • The CAPF includes important security forces like the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB
