    Hello,
I don't say that year gap wouldn't affect your placements but they never stop you from going beyond. Very few companies wouldn't accept year gaps abiding to their policy but most of them don't hinder your job. So, I would say you to join a well known institute like Ramaiah where you'll be having a chance to get into some or the other company.
    All the best.

It should not affect your chances of getting yourself Placed. However, you need to ensure that you learn well and become industry ready by imbibing the learning points for jobs from PGL - Personality Growth lab, curricular and co-curricular activities at MSRIM (Now RIM - with a new logo (which is used by the entire Ramaiah Group) as can be seen in the profile). All the best to you.
