Will a CCNA certification add value to a diploma holder in networking from PTU

Hi, i want to know what designation will be given to a candidate on the base of Diploma in Hardware and Networking. if he/ she comes up with CCNA certification as well\nI did my diploma in networking from PTU and want to go for CCNA\nwant to know if i am on the right path??... suggestions valued!!
