Will a distance education degree be valid for Civil Services Exam?

Hi Sharmila, Any candidate complete his graduation from distance mode or regular mode can eligible for Civil Service exam that must have obtained graduation from recognized University. The Civil Service Examination is organized by UPSC every year to recruit candidate for IAS, IPS etc. Eligibility: -Nationality: A citizen of India. -Academic Qualification: The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a well known college or university. -Age Limits: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination. -Number of attempts: Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted four attempts at the examination. The Civil Services Examinations are held in two phases - the first is called the CSAT which replaces the Preliminary Examination (Prelims). This has 2 papers - the general studies and general aptitude paper.The second Main Examination (Mains). After that, there is the Personality Test or Viva-Voce before the final selection. Graduates can take the entrance examination .
