    Yes, he/she can. But one should be thorough with the whole NCERT book. If it is done, then almost the syllabus will be covered. To score better, one can refer additional sources.

    It does not depend on what you have studied, it depends on what you know. As the question is about NCERT I think is you will not face serious problems and you may crack it.
