Will AI dominate civil engineering after 2025?

<p>Artificial Intelligence will be very important in civil engineering after 2025, but it won't replace people completely. It can greatly help and improve things like planning, construction methods, and predicting how structures will behave over time. AI applications such as automated laser scanning, parametric design algorithms, machine learning and neural networks are already transforming civil engineering methods and practices. However, AI will help increase the work of engineers but will not replace them and thus professional practitioners will require to achieve moved away from manual engineering design practice out of AI tools. AI will assist in streamlining methods however human intelligence will still be key to complex decision making.</p>
