Will having a 1 year gap after UG for the preparation of CAT affect my percentile or admission process?

Your gap of a year will not at all be a reason of hindrance in your admission process or percentile for that matter.

No, there is no such problem. Only when your admission is confirmed, you have to fill a Gap Certificate whose format will be provided to you at the appropriate time. Gaps do not have any effect on percentiles or in other process. The interviewer might ask you the reason for the gap if he/she feels like so it is advisable to take a drop if one has concrete reasons for the same.
