The basis of selection are your CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE score, your UG grades and performance in the interview.
All campuses except Coimbatore accept MAT Scores.
So the year gap won't affect your selection to MBA Program. But certain companies do ask for valid reason for the break in education during the placement process. In that case you need to have a good reason to convince them.

Both Colleges and companies will have no problem with 1 year gap.

The answer is a definite No. The basis of selection are your UG grades, your percentile score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE and performance in the interview. MAT score is not accepted in Coimbatore campus. From the placement point of view, some companies which come to the campus insist on valid reasons for them to be convinced with regards to this. Good luck!

No, this won't effect. They will take you as a fresher only. Even during campus placements companies will consider you as a fresher.

No it will not effect selection. If you are capable than you can get selected in best college. It depend on your 10th 12th and graduation percentage and on the score of CAT/XAT/CMAT etc and if you could prove yourself best in an interview than congrats you will be selected.
