Yes there are certified criterias to be fulfilled .
But it depends upon the company.
So not all have that criteria in place. -
Different companies have different criteria for shortlisting candidates. Some companies give extra weightage to your academic record while some prefer to look at the overall profile of the candidate. You can always cover up on your academic scores by performing well in the future and also with the help of other extra activities like certifications, competitions, extra curricular activities etc
