    All Ph.Ds are not scientists, but you can pursue a Ph.D to improve your chances in this field. Many doctorates are involved with important research positions, and go on to become lecturers in their fields. However, one of the pre-requisites to becoming a renowned scientist does include Ph.D. Regards.
