Will I be able to get a good job with low HS percentage as many companies allow to sit for interview to those having 60% overall grades?

I have 78% on 10th boards and 56% on 12th boards. My HS percentage went down due to some unfortunate situations. Presently am pursuing mcom and further want to pursue MBA in finance. But as many good MBA colleges and companies seek for overall 60% grades so will it affect me from getting good job?

Well, it does matter to a limited extent. Not getting an opportunity to sit for an interview in select few companies, is not the end of the road. It is the employees of an organisation, who defines a Job as Good or bad. As you grow with experience and expertise, your academic percentage does not matter much.

As the number of candidates applying for job interview is very high companies are using cut off techniques to sort out the candidates. Today most of the companies are looking for candidates with 60-70% overall marks(10th,12th and graduation altogether) and tomorrow it will be 70-80%. So my suggestion is that if you made into a good rated MBA/PGDM college after writing CAT or GMAT your HS percentage will not be concerned by any companies in their on campus intervuew. Some MBA colleges are also using this cut off system but i believe that only 55% is required to get admission into any b schools in the country even IIM'S .
