Yes ,the university shall be registered with WES.
There are universities like IGNOU,SMU,LPU & ICFAI University whose degree got recognition in Canada.
The Government bodies who give recognition are same for Regular or in Distance mode I.e UGC . In distance mode , there is DEB (DISTANCE EDUCATION B

Can you provide number of your friends? I have also check on Google that SMU degree is not valid in WES.
Is distance education from Swami Vivekananda Subharti University valid for Canada PR or in the list of ECA from CIC?
