Hi,
BE Aeronautical Engineering is a 4-year Under Graduate (UG) course with a specialisation in the field of aviation and aerodynamics. The minimum eligibility criterion which most of the institutes ask for is a score of at least 60% to 70% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10+2 or equivalent level. -

5 years agoHello Naveen Kumar,
Yes, based on your Diploma in mechanical engineering, you can definitely seek admission for graduation in Aeronautical Engineering. Majority of colleges will give you admission via lateral entry but in IIT, you will have to compete along with the students of 12th since IIT do not give lateral admission but they treat Diploma holders as equivalent to 12th. I am attaching a link that will give you the list of top colleges which offer Aeronautical branch. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/ranking/top-aeronautical-engineering-colleges-in-india/49-2-0-0-0
Best wishes to you.
