Will I be eligible to pursue MBA if my score in CAT is 85 percentile? My score: 10th-72%, 12th-72% and BE-25%.

Hello Abhilash, As per your percentile, it is very difficult to get a seat at DOMS, IIT-Madras. The CAT percentile should be 94+ for IIT-Madras, but they also look at your profile. CAT 2017 cut-off will depend upon various factors. Some of the factors determining CAT cut-off can be mentioned as follows: Difficulty level of exam Number of test takers Number of candidates qualifying the exam Number of seats Institute repute or ranking As per trends, if the difficulty level of CAT 2017 is high, the CAT cut-off will be low and vice versa. Generally, the old IIMs and top B-Schools such as FMS, University of Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, etc., have CAT cut-off over 99 percentile. New IIMs and other top B-Schools have cut-off ranging from 90 percentile or above.
