    If you maintain a good CPI you can get a good campus placement . The trend followed nowadays is that people in branches like CS or EE grow academically during the tenure of their course whereas students of aerospace or metallurgy develop their people skills in their tenure and mostly opt for non-core jobs. But though not part of the majority there are people who do get great placements as well as great research opportunities in the branch Metallurgy and Material Science.
