Will I get a job in an IT company?
I have a gap of 1 year in my engineering. I am a final year mechanical engineering student.

Drop year will not impact your placement. Job in IT industry for mechanical engineers is slowly becoming difficult as IT industry prefers CSE/ IT/ ECE graduates over mechanical engineers for IT jobs.
