It depends solely on competition. The amount of money may count to a little extent. Even then also, merit counts.

A higher score in CAT and MAT would definitely ensure that you get the best college for MBA in India (Tier-1).

Yes, you will get preference. There are many colleges where you can get scholarship based on your CAT score. Instead of MAT you can go for CMAT.

Yes, it depends on the score you achieve. Above 98 percentile in CAT will make you a strong candidate for IIMs. Other good colleges are IFMR, GLIM, GIM and KJ Somaiya.

The higher your score, better the college you will get. Nothing else matters.
