    Yes, non-engineering students are admitted to IIM Mumbai, also called IIM Nagpur, for its numerous programmes. The university does not restrict admittance to those with an engineering degree and supports diversity within its student group.     IIMs admit students based on fulfilling basic eligibility criteria, regardless of whether they come from an engineering or non-engineering background. The selection criteria are the same for all individuals who meet the basic requirements.

    There is a common misconception that IIMs prefer engineering students or that the CAT exam favors them. However, top IIMs actually prefer non-engineers. Many of them even award bonus points to promote diversity among students.

    Yes, IIM gives admission to any student who fulfills the basic eligibility criteria. Engineering or Non-Engineering student, makes no difference to the selection criteria. Every individual fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria can get admission in this college. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for admission to various courses at IIM Mumbai is a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is CAT
