    No, it won't really be a drawback if you do something productive alongside preparing for the MBA entrance exams. You may pursue some certification courses or internships, etc which are related to the stream in which you would do MBA. Doing these things would also help in ensuring you have something extra to speak about during the interviews and thus give an edge.
