Will it be a negative point if I pursue MBA in the year 2018 instead of 2017 having no experience? I've passed B.Tech in 2016.

It depends on the company's criteria of selection. See if you are dropping out a year and prepare well FOR CAT and MAT and get a reputed institute then it hardly matters because passing out from IIMs or institute of high repute then your career and growth will be high. You will definitely get a good job. Some companies do offer relaxation in this. So just prepare well and get admission into some good college.

My advice would be to get involve in something productive that adds value to your profile if you aren't engrossed in any kind of job and are planning to pursue MBA in 2018. You must have a strong reason why you wanted that year layoff. Otherwise it shouldn't be a big issue as such.
