Will it be a wrong decision to opt for civil engineering?

You do not have to be really good at artistic drawing in order to become a civil engineer but you need to have competencies to visualize and understand technical diagrams. You will be required to have capability to draw drawings with engineering drawing tools. You must be capable to draw sketches to explain to your subordinates, peers, seniors and clients in professional career. Engineering drawing is prepared by draftsmen. Nowadays, engineering drawing is prepared by using computer-aided design software. Civil engineering profession is more of construction projects management and less of designing work. Therefore, if you have interest in becoming a civil engineer then you may not drop your interest because of weakness in drawing. You can overcome your weakness by practice at least in drawing engineering diagrams.
