    You do not have to be really good at artistic drawing in order to become a civil engineer but you need to have competencies to visualize and understand technical diagrams. You will be required to have capability to draw drawings with engineering drawing tools. You must be capable to draw sketches to explain to your subordinates, peers, seniors and clients in professional career. Engineering drawing is prepared by draftsmen. Nowadays, engineering drawing is prepared by using computer-aided design software.
