Getting a job is never easy, degree or not, and in your question you did not mention the degree.
1. Communication
2. Attitude
3. Creativity - A mind that thinks for tomorrow
4. Integrity
They will also assess you to see whether you will fit into the company environment or not. Teams are important, so they are unlikely to hire somebody who would have trouble integrating into the company's culture. Nothing is ever easy, but you can make things easier if you are well prepared for your interviews.
