Will it be necessary to pursue M.Tech after B.Tech to become a research scientist? Can I do MBA & then PhD to become a research scientist?

It depends on what area and topic you want to do research. If it is related to innovation and technology obviously M.Tech is something you can think of and if it is related to area of management then you need to go for MBA. You will become either social scientist or natural scientist
