will it be possible for me to pursue masters in automobile engg after be in industrial engineering and management ??

i got 42oo rank in kcet and it wont be possible for me to get mechanical in top 5 collge....so should i join industrial engineering and managent (IEM) ?? would it be good enough to do masters in automobile after BE in IEM ?? plz revert sooooon.....not much time :) thanku
