University of Southampton on-campus or off-campus living is depend on your lifestyle option. On-campus living is convenient with close proximity to lectures, libraries, and social life, and thus ideal for first-year students or for those who wish to enjoy an active campus lifestyle. It also provides additional security and attention. Off-campus living might be cheaper, with greater freedom and the chance to explore the local culture in Southampton. The majority of students choose to begin on-campus in the first year and then move off-campus later in order to get the best balance of convenience, social life, and freedom.
