Will my life on campus be better at EPFL than staying off-campus?

<p>Depending on what things mean to you, living on-campus at EPFL can be a better integrated and more convenient student experience than off-campus. On-campus housing puts you in the closest reach of academic buildings, research labs, libraries, and so on, thus lowering your commuting times and allowing you to stay pretty strongly connected to campus activity.</p><p>You'll find yourself in a vibrant multiethnic student community, which usually helps with networking, socializing, and academic collaboration. Campus life is enhanced with student events, clubs, and extracurricular activities, which build a spirit of community.&nbsp;<br><br>Off-campus might be more in the way of privacy, and some of those may even be larger than on-campus spaces-a consideration against which to weigh the commute and loss of engagement with other students. Off-campus residence might provide a more favorable environment for quiet study; however, it often confines one to activities outside the campus.</p>
