In case you have registered with an outdated OBC certificate for AKTU, there is a chance your registration might be stopped or nullified since the newly issued one is still in the processing or updating stage. The caste status verification usually requires a valid and up-to-date OBC certificate which is either 6 months old or one year old for AKTU. Putting in an old certificate could create trouble. Try explaining the matter to AKTU officials and also give evidence that your new document is underway. Be ready with the paperwork and go ahead to submit the replacement whenever it comes through.

Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University probably will not remove your registration just because of the old OBC certificate but it’s better to confirm with the university itself. Usually, universities hold a student’s valid and up to date caste certificate for the verification process. If your new certificate is pending, you can:

     1. Affidavit claiming that your is yet to be processed and shall present it as soon as you secure it.

     2. Attach a receipt or acknowledgement from the issuing authority to evident that you hold a new certificate which is however, in the process of being processed.

  • No, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will not reject your registration as you submitted your old OBC certificate instead of new OBC certificate. Actually, there is no time period or expiry date for OBC certificate. Once you got your caste certificate, it will last long to your whole life. If you lost your caste certificate, then only you can apply for new, else you do not need any new one. So, AKTU  will not reject your registration.
