7 years agoRetail is a specialized form of marketing only. As a sector, retail is the biggest industry in Indian economy contributing to 13% of GDP - compared to IT which is around 6%. Retail is a booming sector and offer a host of career opportunity be it in store management, Data / business analysis or supply chain management. The birth of e-commerce has added another area of job opportunity. Many of PGDM - Marketing guys lands up in retail marketing only.
