    The M.Tech. Stipend is provided to postgraduate students pursuing M.Tech. Programs in various institutes across India, including IITs, IISc, and state government colleges. The Government of India announced in the 2021 Union Budget that the M.Tech. Stipend scheme for postgraduate students in engineering will be discontinued from the academic year 2021-2022 in all central government-funded technical institutions, including IITs. However, the decision to discontinue the M.Tech. Stipend scheme may vary for state government-funded technical institutions and IISc.
