Will the marks of paper-1 also be counted in the final score of the exam?

Hello,
The UGC NET Result will be declared by the National Testing Agency. To qualify the exam candidates will require to secure minimum 40% aggregate marks in both the Papers. There is no need to score separately in both Papers. But it is suggested to prepare both these sections equally as more questions you attempt, the chances to clear the exam will become higher. -
Hello, To qualify the NET Exam, You should qualify both the papers as Paper 1 and paper 2. As there is no negative making for the NET Exam. TO qualify in this exam, one should score at least 40% marks for general category in both the papers taken together and 35% for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgender category in order to consider for Assistant professor or JRF. Hello Mohini,Yes, the marks of paper 1 also be used to finalize the merit list. The UGC NET consists two papers that are Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is common for all the subjects while paper 2 consists questions related to post graduation subjects. The candidates need to score minimum 40% marks in both papers and the final merit list is prepared with scores of both papers.
