  • No, the National Testing Agency NTA will not conduct the AIBE (All India Bar Examination) exams from now onwards. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur to conduct the AIBE exams from 2023 onwards. The BCI had conducted the AIBE exams on its own until now, but has decided to outsource the process to IIT Kharagpur to ensure better and more efficient conduct of the exams.

For now, it has not been decided as to who will conduct the 18th AIBE exam. However, the Bar Council of India will conduct the 17th All India Bar Exam (AIBE).

The Bar Council of India will confirm the exam conducting body for the All India Bar Examination for the 18th session, as it has invited tenders from various testing agencies, companies, or firms to conduct the bar exam at the PAN India level. The All India Bar Examination 17th is being conducted by the Bar Council of India only. For more details, you may visit the Shiksha All India Bar Examination page.
