PES University admission for UG and PG courses are entrance based. Candidates are shortlisted for the interview after PESSAT. Shortlisting is done on the basis of merit with reference to the PESSAT scores of the candidates. Hereafter, the list of candidates who qualify PESSAT is notified on the official website and the interview round commences for the shortlisted candidates.

At PES University, the minimum eligibility varies with courses. However, the common eligibility for UG programmes is passing Class 12 with atleast 50 % of aggregate marks.
