    Definitely Yes.
    But keep calm, it has positive effects.
    The transformation of PES-IT in to PES-University brings in the changes in the curriculum.
    At PES University, you will get to learn about the current technologies which is being used in the respective sector/industries.
    No doubt, there will be big changes in placements. Your placements & salaries is going to be bigger & better.
    For example;
    For 2015 Batch, the syllabus was basics of computer Science and programming with Java, but from 2016, it is Programming with Python in one of the semester and Programming with C in the other semester in the first year.

    Well, this is a difficult question to answer. Previously there were 2 branches CSE and IS but after PESIT became PES University, IS branch was removed and the seats in CSE branch are doubled. I don't think the placements will be affected as now the same students will be chosen by the company but from the CSE branch. Also, this is the last year for the IS branch (presently fourth years).

PES University admission for UG and PG courses are entrance based. Candidates are shortlisted for the interview after PESSAT. Shortlisting is done on the basis of merit with reference to the PESSAT scores of the candidates. At PES University, the minimum eligibility varies with courses. However, the common eligibility for UG programmes is passing Class 12 with atleast 50 % of aggregate marks. For PG programmes at the university, the minimum eligibility is Bachelor's degree with atleast 50% of aggregate marks in the relevant stream. The sleection criteria for both the programmes is entrance based.

PES University conducts PESSAT for admission into BBA programme. The minimum eligibility for the programme is passing Class 12 with atleast 50% of aggregate marks. Scoring 60% in Class 12 makes the candidate eligible for admission into BBA. However, the candidate must qualify PESSAT and the subsequent personal interview round to get a confirmed seat in the course at the university.

No, PES university admissions are entrance based with the university accepting only PESSAT scores for UG and PG courses. The university does not make exceptions in it's selection criteria, i.e., all candidates interested in getting admission into the university must qualify the entrance exam conducted by the university.
