No 2.5 years wont be a problem but ya work ex more than 3 years starts causing problems in placements and internships -
For summer internship recruitment process, few companies prefer students with relevant work ex while few companies choose to go for freshers. It is really not that much important from recruitment perspective in marketing specialization. Most of the companies recruit on basis of overall personality assessment.
