Yes. Thapar accepts the MAT Scores for September 2016. MAT Scores are valid for 1 Year. You can apply for the session 2017-19 with score of September 2016.

No. TU test is not compulsory if you have score well in your MAT or CAT Exam. U must have more than 75 percentile. Also if you are short of few marks in them & you think you can perform good in GD & Interview, you still get chance for admission. Entrance exam's weight-age is 30%, GD is 40% & Intervi

MAT mock test practice is essential but not enough. You will need to go through the MAT syllabus and understand the fundamentals of all topics, only then you'll be able to crack questions in mock test.

It is not compulsory to attempt MAT GK section as the score in not considered for percentile calculation but it is not recommended to skip it all together as it may dent your chances in colleges that look at candidates' sectional scores too.
