    Lovely Professional university is the first private university to be granted with the Indian Council of Agriculture Research by the Ministry of Agriculture. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR.

    Yes, Lovely Professional University is only private university in India which is recognized by ICAR (Indian council of agricultural research).
    B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture.

    Lovely Professional University is India's first private University to get ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) by Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Apart from B.Sc(Hons) agriculture the courses such as M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are also accredited to ICAR.
    The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students.

    LPU becomes the first private university to be granted ICAR Accreditation by Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
    Moreover, Student of LPU Ranks 49th In ICAR-JRF, Mr. Chennamsetty Pragnan Babu is a student of B.Sc. Agriculture, always been hard working and qualified ICAR-JRF in Plant Sciences with rank 49th and got admission in G.B.     Hi,
    The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country. If the University is ICAR approved, It means the university has all the resources like fields, labs, etc.
    * LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students.

Hi there,  

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT,   commerce,   arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
