With 8000 rank can I get admission in computer science at VIT, Vellore?

Yes, you may get CSE core because CSE core seats are full till rank 7000 but you will get CSE with specialisation but in my opinion, it is better to take IT branch because syllabus are same and placement wise also CSE core and IT branch both are beneficial. Chances are quite medium but you can get all other remaining branches with this rank. If you want only CSE then you can surely get in category 2 but remember you need to pay more for this.
