With a WBJEE rank of 1818, can I get a chance in B.tech cse in Kgec? Is IEM better than KGEC?

Asked about KGEC - Kalyani Government Engineering College - B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering

I have heard that in government colleges, if I get 1 job, then I will not be allowed to sit for anymore interviews but in IEM, I can sit for multiple job interviews no matter if I get 1 job or 2. Is it true? Please someone explain the comparision in a detailed manner

CSE in KGEG with this rank is quite tough but other branches are easily available in kgec. On other hand I can't say much about IEM but one thing I know that IEM is more like a school rather than a College, that means no college life, also for CSE there are many clubs present in KGEC which are improving day by day. For example, if company A hired you for 3.5 LPA then you are not eligible to appear in

In all colleges, once you get a job, you will not be allowed to sit for companies in the same pay package bracket. However, you can sit for the companies offering a higher package comparatively. The same happens in KGEC.

    As KGEC is govt.funded, so
If you get placed in any company then you aren't allowed to sit for any other, until the package of that company is more than you got.
E.g - you placed in tcs with package of 3lpa, then you are not allowed to appear for any company who providing 3lpa but if any other organisation who are recruiting for 4 lpa then you are allowed
