With AICTE out of the purview of Business Management Education, what is the future of B Schools offering PGDM programs approved by AICTE.

With AICTE out of purview of Management Education, what would be the future of PGDM programs approved by AICTE and being run through various B Schools in our country. Will the PGDM (in AICTE approved B Schools) be recognized for pursuing PhD in Universities or for Government jobs?

Dear Ragini, PGDM programs are equivalent or at par with MBA of University. There is no difference at all if duration is of 2 years and from reputed institutions. Please visit Association Of Indian Universities web site for Equivalence status of respective Institute you are planning for PGDM. PGDM
