    Dear Chayadevi,
All the institutes which are offering Civil Engineering provide equal opportunity for both girls and boys without any discrimination. Meanwhile, some jobs associated with civil engineering seems to be not so fit for girls like site construction work. However, in recent era many female civil engineering joined hand to contribute in this field also. The other jobs which are suitable for girls are designing work, research and academia where any girl can achieve high career as equal as boys.

Government does not differentiates between boys and girls. Appointments are made unbiased. I also feel that it is correct to do so. All courses are available to study for girls. They are not e inhibited.

Of course, it is appropriate for girls. Now a days girls are in every kind of profession and are doing really well. Even my few friends who are girls are into civil engineering and they are doing quite well. I think you should think beyond this gender division and ensure that you pursue your degree from a better college. I would suggest you go for Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as it is a reputed institution older than IIT and best among other private colleges.
