Would it be helpful if I take ECE or telecommunication to get into robotics industry?

Mechatronics is better than these, if available in the college. You can do Masters degree in robotics after doing graduating in ECE /telecommunications /mechanical /Mechatronics. -
Mechatronics is the subject you are seeking. It is a combination of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering. Between ECE and Telecom, ECE will be more helpful. -
For Robotics industry, ECE and the ME combination is best for you. -
For Robotic Industry, the combination of ECE & ME is best. -
