In India, a Diploma alone does not make you eligible for a full-time, regular MBA program at most universities and top business schools. The standard eligibility for an MBA requires a bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognised university with at least 50% marks
| Pathway | Eligibility for Regular MBA | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Diploma only | Not eligible | Not recognised as equivalent to bachelor's |
| Diploma + Lateral Entry to Bachelor's | Eligible after graduation | Complete bachelor's, then apply for MBA |
| Diploma + 3–5 years work experience | Eligible for some online/distance MBAs or select PGDMs | Not equivalent to regular MBA; limited options |
